The Lockdown Hub is a joint initiative launched by Furness College Students’ Union and a range of partners to provide support to students in an easily accessible, engaging manner. The Hub is filled with ideas to stay connected with friends, learn new skills and cope with the changing world.
The site was launched June 29th 2020 in response to the global pandemic that gripped the world. The partner colleges believed that the Hub could have a long-lasting and far-reaching legacy to all students attending FE provision, so long as the students themselves engaged with the project.
It was then that the idea of a student-led, student-benefiting site was created!
And so the Lockdown Hub was born! Most of what you see on this site was developed by students and apprentices, from the ideas behind the challenges/skills through to the website itself.
Please check out the site and all it has to offer, we hope you have fun in doing so!
The work we do would not be possible without our sponsor, Hello Future. Hello Future have funded this project to help build resilience in young people, a skill that is very useful when at university!
